mimiX -Sound Induced Morphogenesis Technology
Biologicals – Cells, spheroids, organoids- or non-biological particles are dispersed in a hydrogel precursor and loaded in the SIM carrier. A vertical vibration generated with sound is applied, and a pattern is generated within seconds. Crosslinking of the patterned particulates within the hydrogel is carried out by using different stimuli (light, enzymatic, thermal crosslinking) depending on the material. Multiple differently patterned layers can be built sequentially.
