Stem Pharm -Synthetic Substrates
Stem Pharm’s technologies are based on functionalized multi-arm polyethylene glycol monomers that incorporate bioactive peptides to modulate adhesion and biomechanical properties. Our optimized substrates generate appropriate cellular environments that improve outcomes for cell expansion, differentiation, and in vitro cell-based assays.
Hydrogel
- Pre-formulated to provide biochemical and structural support for 3D cellular applications.
- Thin Substrate
- Pre-coated, optimized substrates for expansion, differentiation, and high-content imaging.
Hydrogels
Stem Pharm’s hydrogels are provided in a ready-to-dispense format. They are amenable to automation workflows and have been used in a variety of applications including:
- Neural organoid cultures
- Tumor organoid encapsulation
- Spheroid encapsulation
- Vascular tubulogenesis assays
Human Vascular Endothelial Cells (HUVEC) plated onto Stem Pharm hydrogel and stimulated with VEGF to form vascular tubulogenic structures.
Vascular tubulogenic structures can be quantified through image analysis. Dose response curves of vascular disruptors Nocodazole and Axitinib were tested with HUVEC cells and quantified at 24 h.
Stem Pharm thin substrates provide many attributes of our thick formats in ready-to-use applications.
Stem Pharm has developed methods to generate thin PEG-based substrates that can be optimized for cell specific applications and provided in ready-to-use, pre-coated formats.
We have optimized formulations for differentiation and maturation of a variety of neuronal subtypes including:
- Glutamatergic neurons
- GABAergic neurons
- Motor neurons
- Induced excitatory neurons
We welcome custom projects to design formulations for your specific application.
Stem Pharm’s substrates:
- Increase reproducibility
- Eliminate the use of animal-derived products
- Save users time and money
