Calculate Parameters for Low Frequency GPR Antenna - Ground Penetrating Radar - Geophysics - Video

SHARE

This video was requested by a viewer that was working with a 100 MHz ground penetrating radar (GPR) antenna in limestone and was looking to investigate down to 7 meters below the ground surface. In this video I share the two main parameters that viewer will have to calculate to make sure his investigation is going to reach 7 meters and will have a close approximation of a full waveform with minimal amplitude error. I calculate the wave velocity in limestone, the two way travel time needed, and the sampling interval. This allows the conclusion of total samples required. Here are the books referenced in the video: David J. Daniels. Ground Penetrating Radar (limestone dielectric) Harry Jol. Ground Penetrating Radar Theory and Applications (6xfrequency)
