Cytes - Model HuSC - Primary Human Hepatic Stellate Cells
Hepatic stellate cells (HSC) are also known as perisinusoidal cells and they are located in the space of disses. These cells are the major cell type involved in liver fibrosis in response to liver injury and they play a key role in the homeostasis of liver extracellular matrix, repair, regeneration and fibrosis, and control retinol metabolism, storage and release.
